Diaper Cakes made EASY!

So, for my sister's baby shower, I made a diaper cake. We wanted a change from the "expected" baby shower games, so we took the idea of 'how many jelly beans / diaper pins in the jar' and created, 'how many diapers did it take to make to cake'? I had so much fun making it! It was VERY easy to do by myself but it would be even more so with an extra set of hands.

You will need:
1 box of size 2 Huggies (100ct box)
Twine/curling ribbon
1 cardboard or aluminum cake round/serving platter
5 recieving blankets (at least 2 of the same pattern for the bottom tier)
Hot glue gun
safety pins
NICE ribbon of coordinating colors

Step one: Watch this Youtube video. You will find that you have enough left overs to make a fourth tier in the same method. Do so.

Step two: BEFORE placing your nice ribbon, fold your recieving blankets diagonally to the width of the standing diapers (two will be needed for the bottom tier). I ironed mine once they were the correct width. Pin in place.


Step 3: Follow the rest of the video instructions for adding your ribbon. Add toys and goodies accordingly :) Mine was 102 total because I had a few diapers lying around from baby sitting a friend's baby and used those for the center of the top tier. Have fun!
